Abstract:The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study. From January 2021 to January 2022, Mr.Shuowen Zhangwas sponsored by CSC to perform research work at theMechanics of Material Laboratory(MAMEL) in the Department ofMaterial Science and EngineeringatSeoul National University(SNU) as a visiting Ph.D. student, supervised by Prof. Myoung-Gyu Lee.In this presentation, a brief introduction ofMAMELandSNUwill be given. A report abouttheresearch work on thesimulation of Viscoplastic Self-Consistent Modelwill also be made. Besides, the living and cultural experience inSouth Koreawill also be presented.
